Our popular children's program, Tidbit Tuesday combines historical learning with a fun hands on activity based around a theme. Our Curator of Education Shawna Michelena combines fun, hands-on activities with historical lessons. Past programs have include Sheridan 1888, rodeo, pioneer quilts, and pioneer games. Tidbit Tuesdays are for children ages 4-10, but older children are welcome. Tidbit Tuesdays are held every other Tuesday throughout June, July, and August. Please call ahead to 307-675-1150 to reserve spot.
Monday @ the Museum
Monday @ the Museum brings in special speakers to the Museum the second Monday of June, July, and August. From noon to 1pm, the public is invited to bring their lunch for a brownbag presentation on our porch. Program attendees will also receive free admission to the Museum. Evening Program Series
Join the Sheridan County Historical Society for its annual Evening Program Series. Held from October through April, the SCHS hosts a wide range of speakers related to the local and regional history. Check our calendar for upcoming program topics and speakers.
Casual Conversations In History
Every wonder about how Sheridan's city streets were named or the history of local horse racing? Join Helen Laumann for her monthly Casual Conversations in History as she explores different facets of Sheridan County History. Casual Conversations in History are held monthly on the second Wednesday, September through May, at the Sheridan Senior Center (211 Smith St, Sheridan, WY). Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Check our calendar for upcoming program topics.

Join Museum Director John Woodward for guided tours of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Learn more about the history of Sheridan County through the lives of the people who once called it home. From late September through mid-October, SCM staff and volunteers will be leading through Sheridan's past. There is a ticket fee for Cemetery Tours. Behind the Scenes Saturdays
Ever wonder how museum's store artifacts or build new exhibits? Visit the SCM during our spring Behind the Scenes Saturday programs. Get a chance to meet our staff and volunteers and peer behind the curtain at how the SCM preserves history and brings it to life. Check out our calendar for more information
Want to walk in the footprints of history? Join the Museum for a historical trek. These special excursions take visitors outside to historic sites, battlefields and other points of interests. Past treks include the Rosebud Battlefield. There is a ticket fee for historical treks. Check our calendar for information on upcoming treks.
